The Willamette Valley is known as one of the richest agricultural areas in the world, and now it is also becoming world famous for its wines. Yamhill County, Oregon has a multitude of rapidly growing wineries famous for Pinot noir, Riesling and Chardonnay wines. A wine tasting tour of the Willamette Valley is an experience to savor. For hiking and bicycling, tour the ten waterfalls of Silver Falls State Park near Salem. And believe it or not, Oregon is also famous for its many covered bridges. These are concentrated near Albany, Sweet Home and Cottage Grove. Unbelievable fishing and white water running are found in the many rivers that flow through the area.
