Mount Hood

The Cascade Mountains are one of the most beautiful areas of Oregon. Located to the east of the Willamette River, they tower along the horizon with Mt. Hood rising above all the others. It sits majestically on the eastern sky covered in a white blanket of snow and is a magnificent backdrop for the City of Portland. Every year people come to ski or view the incredible scenery that is abundant throughout the Mount Hood area. Numerous ski resorts are located on the mountain, but the most widely known is Timberline Lodge , a popular ski lodge on Mt. Hood that acts as hotel, restaurant and recreational facility.
